Must Haves
* A minimum of 5 years experience working in Education
* Self Motivated and Trustworthy
* 3 years of experience managing a team
* A solid understanding of regulations and childcare
* Mature understanding of Nursery Schools.
* Extensive experience working in a similar role

The candidate will be working alongside our area manager, we are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years experience in Education, with several years of experience working in Nursery schools.
The ideal candidate will hit the ground running and bring forward innovative ideas and plans for our team!
Description
PURPOSE OF JOB :
The duties of the Manager are to take full responsibility of the Nursery.
To instigate and participate with the staff team to create a stimulating, caring environment for under fives and their parents.
To assist the Area Manager in all areas and responsibilities – taking full charge in his/her absence.
* All aspects of Health & safety
*
* Fire Drills
* Administration of Medications
* Dietary requirements of children
* Attendance registers and collection of fees
* Cash tin
* NEG Funding
* Admissions of children
* Enquiries from prospective parents
* Stock control and food orders
* Reports required by Area Manager and Director
Be familiar with legislation relating to the profession and the Nursery and report any changes to the Area Manager where applicable.
To communicate effectively with other staff especially the Deputy Manager on all aspects of the Nursery.
To provide effective induction, training and assessment to each member of staff.
To do staff appraisals once a year and carry out staff supervisions every term with all staff
To be able to assess trainees / students and report to the Area Manager
To be responsible for the whole Nursery and for reporting to the Area Manager of any pertinent matters e.g. damage / repairs and maintenance work required to the Nursery.
To implement and evaluate the Early Years Foundation Stage.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
* Experience of working with under fives in a day care setting
* Relevant experience of working with a variety of age ranges 0-5 years.
* Relevant under fives qualifications and 3 years post qualifying experience
